SCRIPTURE: PSALM 136
MEMORY VERSE:
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords. His loves endures forever” (Psalm 136:1-3)
The Psalmist reminded the history of Israel and gave thanks to the Lord for His goodness and love. The Lord is the God of gods and the Lord of lords who does great wonders by making the heavens , the earth, sun, moon and stars. He struck down the firstborn of Egypt and brought Israel out. He divided the Read Sea and swept Pharaoh’s army into the Red Sea. He led the people through the desert and struck down great mighty kings – Sihon, king of the Amorites and Og, king of Bashan. He gave their land to the Israelites as their inheritance.
THOUGHTS:
Let us always remember to give thanks for God for His love endures forever. He is the God of gods, Lord of lords, and God of Heaven. His love includes kindness, mercy and faithfulness.
