SCRIPTURE: PSALM 150

MEMORY VERSES:

“Praise the Lord.  Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens, Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.” (Psalm 150:1-2)

WAYS TO PRAISE THE LORD:

  1.  Praise God in his sanctuary and in his mighty heavens. (v. 1)
  2.  Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, with harp and lyre. (v. 3)
  3.  Praise him, with tambourine and dancing, with the strings and flute. (v. 4)
  4.  Praise him with the clash of cymbals, with resounding cymbals. (v. 5)

THE PSALMIST GAVE US FOLLOWING ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS:

  1.  Where should we praise God?  – In the sanctuary, in mighty heavens.  (v. 1).  In other words, we can praise God in any places.
  2.  Why should we praise God? – Because of what He does and who He is. (v 2)
  3.  How should we praise God? – With voices and instruments, with our whole bodies expressing joy. (vs. 3-5)
  4.  Who should praise God? – Everything that has breath should praise Him. (v. 6)

THOUGHTS:

This the last book of the Book of Psalm.  It had 6 verses with “Praise God” appearing 13 times.  The first verse had “Praise God” 3 times while the remaining 5 verses had “Praise God” twice in each verse.  It shows us that Praise God is the highest service we can devote to the Lord.  It is also a wonderful weapon to defeat the enemy.  Remember to praise God everyday.
