SCRIPTURE: PSALM 150
MEMORY VERSES:
“Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens, Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.” (Psalm 150:1-2)
WAYS TO PRAISE THE LORD:
- Praise God in his sanctuary and in his mighty heavens. (v. 1)
- Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, with harp and lyre. (v. 3)
- Praise him, with tambourine and dancing, with the strings and flute. (v. 4)
- Praise him with the clash of cymbals, with resounding cymbals. (v. 5)
THE PSALMIST GAVE US FOLLOWING ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS:
- Where should we praise God? – In the sanctuary, in mighty heavens. (v. 1). In other words, we can praise God in any places.
- Why should we praise God? – Because of what He does and who He is. (v 2)
- How should we praise God? – With voices and instruments, with our whole bodies expressing joy. (vs. 3-5)
- Who should praise God? – Everything that has breath should praise Him. (v. 6)
THOUGHTS:
This the last book of the Book of Psalm. It had 6 verses with “Praise God” appearing 13 times. The first verse had “Praise God” 3 times while the remaining 5 verses had “Praise God” twice in each verse. It shows us that Praise God is the highest service we can devote to the Lord. It is also a wonderful weapon to defeat the enemy. Remember to praise God everyday.
