Our Daily Scripture – 6/10/24

SCRIPTURE:  ECCLESIASTES 11

MEMORY VERSES:

“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.” (Ecclesiastes 11:4)

“As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.” (Ecclesiastes 11:5)

“Be happy, young man, while you are young; and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.  Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you to judgment.” (Ecclesiastes 11:9)

BREAD UPON THE WATERS (vs. 1-9)

If you want to succeed in life, you have to launch out by faith and trust God to guide you in different endeavors.  A farmer does not know the weather.  But he has to do his job anyway.  We cannot explain a child’s birth but people continue to have families.

REMEMBER YOUR CREATOR WHILE YOUNG (vs. 7-10)

Start your beginning by laying a right and firm foundation.  Avoid evil and walk in the fear of the Lord to prevent sorrow.

THOUGHTS:

Life involves both risks and opportunities.  We must be prepared to seize every opportunity to do good.  We need a Spirit of trust and adventure to face the risk of life with God’s direction.  There will be no perfect condition or perfect time for us to act.  If we wait for a perfect church, you will never join any.  If you wait for a perfect ministry, you will never serve.  Don’t wait for conditions that may never exist.  Take steps to grow spiritually now.

Many of your life’s choice are irreversible.  They will stay with you a life time.  While you are still young, you can do whatever you want.  But remember not to do anything physically, morally or spiritually that will prevent you from enjoying life when you are old.
