THE CONCLUSION OF THE MATTER (vs. 9-10)

After all the wise sayings of Solomon, here is his conclusion:  Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.  For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.” (vs. 13-14)

THOUGHTS:

FINAL PLEA OF SOLOMON:

  1. Listen to God’s word for His word is full of wisdom.
  2. Fear God by being obedient to His Word and submissive to His Will.

A life without God results in bitterness, loneliness and hopelessness.  But a life centered in God is fulfilling having the strength to face disabilities, sickness or hardships when we become old.  While young, do not focus on the excitement of pleasures that keep you away from closeness with God.  Do not waste your youthful years with meaningless activities.  Instead seek God now.

There are many opinions and philosophies about life.  However, we should make the best use of time by knowing how we should live and learn the important truth in God’s Word.

IN CONCLUSION, HERE ARE SOLOMON’S ADVICES:

  1.  Enjoy life while able and remember that all what you have are gifts from God.
  2.  Fear God and obey his command.
  3.  Acknowledge the existence of evil and injustice in life.  But maintain a positive attitude by having strong faith in God.
  4.  All people will stand before God and be judged for what they have done in this life.
