SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 26
MEMORY VERSE:
“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.” (Isaiah 26:4)
A SONG OF PRAISE (vs. 1-21)
“In the day” focuses attention of the glory of God in the promised kingdom. Israel will sing to the Lord because God has brought down their enemies and gave power to His people. As the time of tribulation will be ended, the city of Jerusalem will reign and they will praise God for His mercy. The Lord will establish peace and enlarge the nation of Israel.
THOUGHTS:
On “the day of the Lord”, people will praise God as He will establish His kingdom. God revealed the future to Isaiah and affirmed His unchanging love and mighty power. He assured to help, to comfort and to lead us. When we stay on God’s path, He will provide us, give us wisdom to make decision and faith to trust Him. Let us respond God’s goodness and grace with grateful devotion.
Isaiah tells us that there is life after death. Our bodies shall rise again with bodies like the one Jesus had when he was resurrected.
Isaiah also tells us that God will come to judge the earth. No one can hide any sins from Him. So it is better for us to confess our sins to God now and receive His forgiveness.
