ISRAEL BLIND AND DEAF (vs. 18-25)
The Israelites were deaf and blind. They could not see and hear. They would not follow His ways nor obey His His law. So, the Lord poured out his burning anger, the violence of war. “It enveloped them in flames, yet they did not understand. It consumed them, but they did not take it to heart.” (vs. 24-25)
‘THOUGHTS:
As chosen servant of God, Jesus reveals the character of gentleness, encouragement, justice and truth. His mission on earth is to demonstrate God’s righteousness and to be a light for the Gentiles. God calls us to be the servants of His son. He wanted us to shine our lights in the world and bring the gospel of salvation to mankind.
Jesus condemned the leaders for their blindness. We should also examine ourselves if we are spiritually blind or not. Knowing what is right and not doing it is partial blindness, which is worst than not seeing at all.
