SCRIPTURE:  ISAIAH 47

THE FALL OF BABYLON (vs. 1-15)

Isaiah predicted the fall of Babylon more than 150 years before it happened.  Babylon was a proud empire with mighty force on earth.  They had no humanity nor mercy.  Many will become widows and lost their children.  Disaster will come, calamity will fall and catastrophe will occur.  Their astrologers and stargazers will be burned up with flame.

THOUGHTS:

Babylon felt completely secured with its power and greatness.  King Nebuchadnezzar exalted himself as god.  The people of Babylon sought advices and help from astrologers and stargazers.  But like idols of gold and wood, they could not give help to the worshipers.  If you want help, seek it from God, who is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresence.
