SCRIPTURE: EZEKIEL 32
A LAMENT FOR PHARAOH (vs. 1-32)
WHAT GOD WILL DO:
- God will cast net over him and a great throng of people will haul him in the net. (v. 3)
- God will throw him on the land, hurl him to the open field and all the birds of the air and beast of the earth will settle and gorge on him. (v. 4)
- God will spread his flesh on the mountains and the fill the valleys with his remain. (v. 5)
- God will drench the land with his flowing blood all the way to the mountains and the ravines will be filled with his flesh. (v. 6)
- God will snuff him out and cover the heavens, darken the stars, cover the sun with a cloud and the moon will not give its light. (v. 7)
- God will darken the shining lights in the heavens and bring darkness over the land. (v. 8)
- God will bring his destruction among the nations. (v. 9)
- Many people will be appalled at you when God brandish his sword before the kings. (v. 10)
- The sword of the king of Babylon will come against you. (v. 11)
- Babylon will shatter the pride of Egypt and all her hordes will be overthrown,. (v. 12)
- God will destroy all her cattle from beside abundant waters. (v. 13)
- Her waters will settle and her streams flow like oil. (v. 14)
- God will make Egypt desolate and strip the land of everything in it. He will strike down all who live there. (v. 15)

- Assyria (V. 22)
- Elam (V. 24)
- Meshech and Tubal – (V. 26)
- Edom (v. 29)
- Sidon (v. 30)
THOUGHTS:
Egypt was strong like lion among the nations and rooster in the sea. But the nation will be caught in God’s net and go down into the pit with all the other nations of that era. This is to remind them that God alone is the Lord of all the earth. It also reminds us that He is the only Sovereign and Almighty God that is worthy of our worship and devotion,.
