SCRIPTURE: DANIEL 10
DANIEL’S VISION OF A MAN (vs. 1-21)
Daniel saw a vision of a man dressed in a linen, with a belt of the finest gold around his waist. His body was like chrysolite, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude. (vs. 5-6). As Daniel gazed at the great vision, he lost his strength, his face turned deathly pale and helpless. Then a hand touched him and told him to stand up and not to be afraid. He wanted to explain what will happen to the Jews in the future. Daniel bowed down his face and was speechless. The man touched his lips and Daniel was able to open his mouth and began to speak. He said: “How can I, your servant, talk with you, my lord? My strength is gone and I can hardly breathe.” (v. 17) The man touched Daniel again and gave him strength saying: “Peace, Be strong now, be strong” (v. 19). Daniel was strengthen and the man said: “Soon I will return to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I go, the prince of Greece will come, but first I will tell you what is written in the Book of Truth.” (vs. 20-21)

Both Persia and Greece were represented by evil “spirit princes” or demons. But God is in control at all times – past, present and future. All events are being recorded in his Book of Truth.
