Zechariah saw a man with a measuring line in his hand. He was going to measure Jerusalem to find our how wide and long it is. Then he told Zechariah to run and flee from the land of the north. Jerusalem will be a city without wall and God will be a wall of fire around it and the Lord shall be its glory.
The Lord is coming to live among them. Whosever touched them, God will raise His hand against them. In that day, many nations will be joined with the Lord and become his people. The Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the Holy land and will gain choose Jerusalem.
THOUGHTS:
The measurement rod used to indicate that God owns the city and had plan for it. God proclaimed that Babylon was distained to fall and Jerusalem would have a new beginning. God promised to come and protect His people. He would dwell with them, claim His inheritance and they will know Him and serve Him.
