[:en]While David and Joab were leading the armies of Israel against 2 enemies in the north, a third enemy invaded in the South (vs. 1-3). But David boldly lifted God’s banner of truth and listened to God’s word from his sanctuary. (vs. 4-6). Then he believed in God’s promise to give the aid against the enemy andwon the victory (vs. 7-12).
Things to Ponder:
- You may have won a great victory but there are still battles to fight.
- Continue to carry the banner of God after your victory.
- Give God all the glory. Dangers may recur if you claim victory for yourself because pride will set in.
