[:en]Thoughts from Psalms 64[:]

[:en]The central message of this Psalm is about “FEAR”

  1.  David’s fear of the enemy (vs. 1-2) – David asked God to protect his life from the threat of the enemy, from the conspiracy of the wicked and evildoers.
  2. The enemy’s fear of nothing (vs. 3-6) – Their tongues were like swords with words like deadly arrows shooting and ambusing innocent men without fear.  They formed secret evil plans and plot injustice with cunning mind and heart.
  3. The fear of the Lord (vs. 7-10) – God will struck the evildoers and bring them to ruin.  All mankind will fear and proclaim the work of God and ponder what He has done.  The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in Him.

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself” – Franklin D. Roosevelt.

“Nothing is so much to be feared as fear” – Henry David Thorreau

“The thing of which I have most fear is fear” – French essayist MNontaigne

Replace fear with faith, joy and glory to God.  The only one thing that really conquers fear is faith in the Lord.

“Surely, God is my salvation;  I will trust and not be afraid.  The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.” (Isa 12:2)[:]
