[:en]ALONE IN SPACE
In 1971, Apollo 15 astronaut Al Worden flew alone in his command module, Endeavor for 3 days. Two crewmates were working thousands of miles below on the surface of the moon. His only companions were the stars overhead that he remembered as being so thick as to wrap him in a sheet of light.
Jacob run from his elder brother Esau, because He stole the family blessings from him. In his first night away from home, he was alone and while sleeping, he had a dream of a staircase joining heaven and earth. There were angels ascending and descending and he heard the voice of God promising to be with him and to bless the whole earth through his children. (Gen. 28:13-16)
Although Jacob was isolated, he was in the presence of God. God still took care of him. Let us be comforted that God is nearer that we think. -(Mart Dehaan)[:]
