[:en]THE BURDEN OF WAITING

When we are diagnosed with sickness, the burden of uncertainity overwhelms us.  We will always wonder what the next test will reveal and what diagnosis of treatment we have to undergo.

Faced with sobering reminders of man’s mortality, Moses once wrote that our lives are like grass that withers and fades.  He asked God to “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Ps. 90:12).

Let us ask God to teach us to number our days so that we can make wise decisions and make our brief lives fruitful.  Our hope is in a God who is eternal from everlasting to everlasting. – (Amy Peterson)[:]
