Jesus compares those who hear and obey His words to those who build their houses on the rock (Luke 6: 47-48) These houses survive the storms. By contrast, those built on a sand, without a firm foundation are like people who don’t obey His commands. They cannot weather the torrents. Therefore, heed God’s Word.
