[:en]FAITH IN ACTION

“Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.  Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds” (James 2:17-18)

We are saved by faith, not works, but we live out our faith by loving others and caring for their needs.  James was concerned about the welfare of the widows and orphans.  He wanted the Christians to live their faith with deeds of love.

Maybe you can offer a ride to someone.  Maybe you can give someone who is financially broken.  Maybe you can help someone who is in trouble.  Maybe you can visit someone who is in sick.  Maybe you can comfort someone who is lonely and in grief.  Maybe you can encourage someone who is distress.  And maybe you can lead him to Christ.  God acknowledges everything you have done to any brethren.  And He will reward you in due time.

Let us keep our eyes opened to those who might need our help and keep faith in action as we walk together in this journey of life.  – (Amy Boucher Pye)
