[:en]Thoughts from Psalms 132[:]

[:en]David’s dream was to build a temple for the Lord.  He vowed to God saying: “I will allow no sleep to my eyes, no slumber to my eyelids till I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob” (vs. 2-5).  But God did not allow David to fulfill his holy ambition.  It was his son Solomon who did it.  But David made the plans, provided the money and materials – gold, silver, precious stones, bronze, and iron.

Although God did not permit King David to build him a house, He built a house of family for David.   One of his descendants will always be on the throne of Israel.  God will make a horn grow for David and set up a lamp for His anointed one.  He will clothe David’s enemies with shame, but the crown on his head will be resplendent. (vs. 17)

If it is not the will of God to fulfill your dream, help the next generation to fulfill it through your support and encouragement.[:]
