The prophet Habakkuk’s situation was out of his control. The coming catastrophic judgment had terrified him. Yet, in the midst of the impending chaos, he made a choice to live by his faith on the goodness and greatness of God. He had confidence in God by proclaiming : “The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights” (Hab. 3:19)
When we are faced with devastating situation and difficult circumstances – sickness, family crisis, financial trouble – we , too, must place our faith and trust in God. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble” (Ps. 46:1) – (Karen Wolfe)[:]
