Judgment came to Israel when Assyria took the nation captive. First, God had chastened them in love and when they would not submit, He judge them (v.s. 13-14). They were led astray by the very people whom were supposed to guide them (v. 16).
Our God is “God of grace and truth”. If you acknowledge His truth, you will receive His grace. But if you reject His truth, you will receive His judgment. So choose for yourself: grace or judgment?[:]
