[:en]A PROPHESY ABOUT EGYPT
Isaiah warned Israel not to get help from Egypt because the Egyptians were fighting against each other. (vs. 1-2) They sought counsel from the devil and were heading for bondage themselves (vs. 3-4). Their countryw as about to fall – dried up rivers, stink canal, withered plants, dying fish, fallen trade, failing economy (vs. 5-10). Egypt was led astray by deceiving fools resulting in humiliating defeat (vs. 12-15). But in the future, the Lord will establish His kingdom to both the Jews and the Egyptians. The situation will be reversed with Egyptg fleeing to Israel for help (vs. 16-17).. And the Egyptians will worhsip the God of Israel (vs. 18-21). Both nations will be at peace and visit one another on God’s highway.[:]
