[:en]Those who rely on the horses of Egypt and trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the strength of the horsemen but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or seek help from the Lord will encounter disaster. They will stumble, fall and perish together. (vs. 1-3)
The Lord God wil come down and do battle on Mount Zion. He will shield Jerusalem, deliver and rescue it. (vs. 4-5)
In the day, the Israelites will reject the idols of silver and gold. Assyria will fall by a sword not of man; but a sword, not of mortals, will devour them. Their young men will be put to forced labor. Their stronghold will fall and their command will perish. For the fire of the Lord is in Zion and His furnace is in Jerusalem.[:]
