[:en]Thoughts from 2 Samuel 12[:]

[:en]David was easy to condemn others not knowing what he himself had done.  Nathan came to rebuke and convict him.  Although David had repented, he still has to reap the consequences of his forgiven sins.  His first born son with Bathsheba died.  His daughter Tamar was raped.  His son Absalom rebelled against him.  And both Absalom and Amnon were killed.

*God’s promise in 1 John 1:9 is not a license for us to commit sin.  He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins but we still have to reap the consequences of what we have sown*[:]
