[:en]SCRIPTURE:  2 JOHN

“And this is love:  that we walk in obedience to His commands.  As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love” (2 John v. 6)

“Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son” (2 John v. 9)

John wrote this letter to an anonymous Christian woamn.  His emphasis was on truth and love.  Love means walking in obedience to His command.  And His command is to walk in love.  There were many deceivers who did not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming into the world in flesh.  We should not support them in the name of love.  Instead, we should oppose them and stand by the truth.  False teachers go beyond the Bible by adding or making improvements to what God has written.  We are to stick to the fundamentals of God’s Word and never over interpret the Bible.  John told them not to entertain those false teachers in their home.  Otherwise they will be sharing their evil deeds.

LESSON:

Truth and Love go together.  It is not enough to know the truth.  We must practise the truth by walking in love.  Loving the truth and loving brethren can not be separated.  Anyone who denies Jesus Christ came in flesh is false and he is from anti-Christ.  Never involve with false doctrine so that you will not lose your spiritual blessings.  Do not go beyond what is written in the Bible.  Have nothing to do with false teachers.  Do not show hospitality or give donations to them.[:]
