[:en]Psalms 91[:]

[:en]In the light of the danger of Corona Virus we are facing today, Psalms 91 gives us relief and sublime assurance from the Lord.

God presserves those who abide in Him and rest in His care (v. 1)

He is our refuge and fortress, the only one whom we can trust and the only place where we can fully be secured (v. 2)

He will save us from two things:  Fowler’s snare and deadly pestilence.  Fowler’s snare means calamities or enemies plot.  Deadly pestilence signifies diseases and plagues (v. 3)

His feathers serve as our shield and His wings our defense against attack (v. 4)

Night or day, we will not be afraid of the diseases or plague (vs 5-6)

Even you see thousands or ten thousands being infected, but it will not come near you (v. 7)

You will only see the punishment of the wicked (v. 8)

God’s promises if you exalt Him and abide in Him: (v.9)

  1. You will not encounter harm nor disasters (v. 10)
  2. His angels will guard all your ways (v. 11)
  3. You will be supported so that you will not stumble (v. 12)
  4. You can win over Satan (the lion, cobra or serpent) (v. 13)
  5. God will reserve and protect you if you acknowledge His name (v. 14)
  6. He will answer your call and be with you in trouble.  He will deliver you and honor you (v. 15)
  7. He will bless you with long life and show you His salvation (v. 16)

It is about time to turn to Jesus.  Let us abide in Him and dwell in the shadow of the Almighty.  Let us call on Him to drive away all fears.  Let us believe in His promises to give us peace and victory.

TO ALL THE NATIONS:

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

TO THOSE INFECTED:

“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord” (Jeremiah 30:17)

TO THOSE WHO ARE FEARFUL:

“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified, for the Lord your God goes with you;  He will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deut. 31:6)

“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9)
