SUMMARY:
This is the high priestly prayer of Jesus. He prayed for Himself, for His disciples and for all believers. For Himself, He prayed to glorify the Father and to give eternal life to mankind. For His disciples, He prayed for unity, protection and joy. For all believers, He prayed for unity, sanctity and winning of lost souls.
The gifts that Christ has given to us are: eternal life (v. 2-3), the Word (v. 8, 14) and His glory (v. 22)
May we accept the gift of salvation, be sanctified by His word, win lost souls to Christ, be united as one of God’s people, seek God’s glory and experience His complete joy.[:]
