[:en]Scripture Reading: Romans 8:28-29
Biblical Truth: Living in a world of danger, we buy insurance to give us peace of mind. But there are requirements we need to meet. The insured must put his name in the policy, he has to pay a premium and state the coverage. Furthermore, he has to take the risk that the insurance company will remain solvent, willing and able to pay him when he needs it.
When we belong to God’s family, He has promised to give us a free comprehensive assurance that He will keep us safe. We may encounter troubles and hardships but He will use them for our good.
Personal Application: Our names have been written on the policies in His hands (Isa. 49:16). His love has assured us of his care and presence. “And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:7)
Prayer: Lord, thank you for loving us first and adopting us to become your children. We rest all our fears to you because we know you can provide us the peace in a world of pain.[:]
