[:en]SCRIPTURE: ACTS 22
“Quick! Leave Jerusalem immediately, because they will not accept your testimony about me” (Acts 22:18)
“Go, I will send you far away to the Gentiles” (Acts 22:21)
Paul, identified himself with the Jews by speaking in Aramaic. He then related about his birth, his training by Gamaliel and his zealous ministry. He associated his conversion with Ananias. He wanted to preach to the Jews but the Lord told him to leave Jerusalem and reach the Gentiles. He was arrested and put in chain, but when Paul asserted his Roman citizenship, he was immediately released. The next day, the commanded wanted to find out why Paul was being accused by the Jews, so he assembled the chief priests and Sanhedrin and brought Paul to stand before them.[:]
