[:en]SCRIPTURE: ACTS 27
“So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me” (Acts 27:25)
PAUL SAIL FOR ROME (vs. 1-12)
Paul and some of the prisoners were handed to a centurion named Julius. They boarded a ship and began to sail. Paul warned them that the voyage will be disastrous and dangerous but the majority did not listen.
THE STORM (vs. 13-20)
A violent storm hit them and the men had gone a long time without food. Paul was encouraging them with the word of promise from the Lord that they could reach their destination safely.
THE SHIPWRECK (vs. 21-44)
Paul urged them to take food to survive. He took some bread, gave thanks to God and began to eat. All together, they were 276 on board and they ate. The ship was lost but by the grace of God, Paul’s presence saved all the passengers.
LESSON:
When the storm of life hits us, remember God’s promise of protection, presence and provision. Trust in Him for He never fails.[:]
