[:en]SCRIPTURE: JOB 2
“He replied: “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God and not trouble?” (Job 2:10)
JOB’S SECOND TEST (vs. 1-10)
Despite of losing his wealth and children, Job did not blame God. Instead, he said: “Blessed be the name of the Lord”. So, Satan suggested another test for Job by giving him physical suffering which God permitted. So, Satan afflicted him with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. His wife told him to curse God and die, but he replied: “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God and not trouble?” (v. 10)
JOB’S THREE FRIENDS (vs. 11-13)
Job’s 3 friends – ELIPHAZ, BILDAD, & ZOPHAR, agreed to go together and meet Job in order to comfort him. When they saw Job, they could hardly recognize him. They wept with him in sympathy and sat on the ground with him for 7 days and 7 nights in silence.[:]
