[:en]SCRIPTURE: JOB 23
“But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed His steps; I have kept to His way without turning aside. I have not departed from the commands of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread” (Job 23:10-12)
Job wanted to find God and meet Him to get a fair trial, but he did not know where to find Him. He wanted to state his case, find an answer so that he could be delivered, but God has no clue to know where God is. His feet had followed Him. He had kept His way and obeyed His commands. He had treasured His words, but he needed to be tested to come forth as pure gold.
Life is full of ups and downs. We need the furnace of affliction to separate the dross from the pure gold and make us become a better person. In the midst of the sufferings, we cannot control the temperature of the furnace or the duration of the testing time, but we can obey God and feed on His word as our daily bread.[:]
