[:en]SCRIPTURE: JOB 28
“Where then does wisdom come from? Where does understanding dwell? It is hidden from the eyes of every living thing, concealed even from the birds of the air” (Job 28:20-21)
“God understands the way to it and he alone knows where it dwells, for he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens” (Job 28:23-24)
“The fear of the Lord – that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding” (Job 28:28)
One key question that Job asked was: “Where can wisdom be found?” Wisdom is hidden and concealed like gold and silver without the sight of human eye. It cannot be bought with the finest gold nor can its price be weighed in silver (v. 15). All kinds of jewels – gold, silver, onyx, sapphires, corals, jasper, topaz – cannot compare with it. Only God knows its way and where it dwells. For he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens (vs. 23-24). He established the forces of wind and measured out the waters. He made the rain and thunderstorm. And he confirmed to man: “The fear of the Lord – that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding” (v. 28)[:]
