[:en]SCRIPTURE: JOB 35
“He does not answer when men cry out because of the arrogance of the wicked. Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it” (Job 35:12-13)
Elihu was trying to say that nobody is important in God’s sight. If you sin or not, it does not affect Him. Your wickedness or righteousness does not matter to Him. So Job was opening his mouth with empty talk. For God does not listen to his empty plea and pays so attention to his cause.
Elihu was emphasizing God’s greatness. But his greatness does not mean that He is far from us and unconcerned about us. God’s love, mercy, kindness and faithfulness show us His greatness. We may not feel His presence during trials, but He is always present to give us a song in the night.[:]
