[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 3
“But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill” (Psalm 3:3-4)
“I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear the tens or thousands drawn up against me on every side” (Psalm 3:5-6)
“From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessings be on your people” (Psalm 3:8)
David’s son, Absalom had stolen the kingdom from him, so David fled from Jerusalem. There were many foes against him, but God was his shield. When he cried out to the Lord, God answered him. David was able to sleep because the Lord sustained him. The Lord delivered him from his enemies.
When you cannot sleep because of worry, read this Psalm. When people are against you, talk to the Shepherd. God will lift you up and erase your fears. He will protect you and take good care of you.[:]
