[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 4
“Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer” (Psalms4:1)
“In your anger, do not sin; when you are on you beds, search your hearts and be silent. Offer right sacrifices and trust in the Lord” (Psalm 4:4-5)
“I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8)
David and his men were in great distress. But David called on the Lord to give him relief. He knew that the Lord will hear his call. He asked God to fill his heart with gladness. He was sad at the beginning but he ended up with joy. God’s mercy turned his fears into victory. And he was able to lie down and sleep in peace and safety.
Do not let the circumstances around discourage you. Approach God, offer right sacrifices and trust in the Lord. His light will shine upon you to give you joy and peace. Let Jesus enlarge you from inside to become a greater person that dwells safely in Him.
