[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALM  14

“The fools says in his heart, “There is no God”.  They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;  there is not one who does good” (Psalm 14:1)

“All have turned aside. they have together become corrupt;; there is no one who does good, not even one” (Psalm 14:3)

There they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous” (Psalm 14:5)

Two groups of people are mentioned – the wicked and the righteous.

The wicked are fools.  They are atheists.  God is not in their hearts.  They are corrupt and overwhelmed with dread.  They do evil deeds and exploit people.

The righteous seek God and call on the Lord.  God is present with them and the Lord is their refuge.  God gives them joyful hope and their future will be restored.

The fool says there is no God.  He also says no to God.  God is not in his thought, hearts and minds.  He is cutting himself from the blessings of God.

But the righteous acknowledges God’s presence.  He fears God and says yes to God.  God blesses Him and give him joy.

Which group do you belong?
