[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 20

“Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand” (Psalm 20:6)

“Some trust in chariots and some in horse, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God” (Psalm 20:7-8)

According to David, what God can do for you?

  1. He answers you when you are in distress
  2. He protects you in the name of the God of Jacob
  3. He sends help from the sanctuary
  4. He grants support from Zion
  5. He remembers all your sacrifices
  6. He accepts your burnt offerings
  7. He gives you the dream of your heart
  8. He makes all your plan succeed
  9. He grants all your requests
  10. He answers you from his holy heaven

In times of trouble, David did not trust in chariots or horses.  He trusted in the name of the Lord.  So, God heard his prayers and helped him to triumph over his enemies.

When the day of trouble arrives, some think that they can solve their problems.  They depend on their strength, expertise or experience.  Others look to a friend for advice.  How about you?  when you are in trouble what will you do?  Whom shall you call and turn to?

As a Christian, you should trust in the Lord.  He can solve your problems and give you victory.  You should remember the name of the Lord our God and wave the banner of faith.  Cast all your burdens to the Lord.  Get strength from Him.  And He will turn your burdens into blessings.
