“You have granted him the desire of his heart and have not withheld the request of his lips. You welcomed him with rich blessings and placed a crown of pure gold on his head. He asked you for life, and your gave it to him — length of days, for ever and ever” (Psalm 31:2-4)
David rejoiced in God for the following reasons:
- He gave him strength to win victories
- He granted the desires of his heart
- He listened to the request of his lips
- He placed a crown of pure gold on his head.
- He blessed his life with splendor and majesty
- He extended the length of days of his life
- He was always present with him
- He bestowed His unfailing love
- He granted him with eternal blessings
David gave us ways of how to deal with life’s enemies:
- Let God’s hand work in your behalf
- Let God’s wrath swallow them and His fire consume them
- Let God’s arrow shoot them
David rejoiced in the Lord for His strength, His blessings and His protection. How about you? Have you experienced God’s goodness and mercy? What blessings have you received from God? Do you rejoice in the Lord?
What is your attitude towards your enemies? Don’t try to take care of your enemies in your way. Turn it over to the Lord. God’s hand will work for you. He will make things better and His name will be glorified.
