“I will exalt you, O Lord, for you lifted me out of the depths, and did not let my enemies gloat over me. O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. O Lord, you brought me up from the grave; you spared me from going down into the pit” (Psalm 30:1-3)
“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever” (Psalm 30:11-12)
What had God done to David?
- He lifted him out of the depths from his enemies (v. 1)
- He healed him (v. 2)
- He brought him up from the grave and spared him from going down into the pit (v. 3)
- He made his mountain stand firm (v. 7)
- He turned his wailing into dancing (v. 11a)
- He removed his sackcloth and clothed him with joy (v. 11b)
If you want your life to be transformed, be humble to acknowledge what God has done for you. No matter how dark is the night or how heavy is your heart, wait patiently and trust the Lord. For His favor lasts a lifetime. He can change your sorrows to joy.[:]
