[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 36
“Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast” (Psalm 36:5-6)
“How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men finds refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights” (Psalm 36:7-8)
“For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. Continue your love those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart” (Psalm 36:9-10)
David described the sinfulness of the wicked as follows: He flatters himself and does not hate sin. The words of his mouth are deceitful. He plots evil against the godly and commits himself to a sinful course without rejecting the wrong.
But David proclaimed God’s love, faithfulness, righteousness and justice. His love is unfailing that reaches to the heavens and His faithfulness to the skies. His righteousness is like the mighty mountain; His justice like the great deep. People find refuge in the shadow of His wings. He promises you satisfaction with abundance in His house and gives you drink from the river of His delights. He is the fountain of life that supplies the Living Water for us. He is the light that guides our way.
Where do you find your satisfaction? Is it from your career, wealth, prestige, relationships and activities? Remember that those are only temporary. Only in Christ can you find real satisfaction. For He is the one who can give you all your needs. Therefore, put your trust over the shadow of His wings. Live in the Holy of Holies in fellowship with God at the mercy seat. Then, you will have His protection and delights. The word “DELIGHT” is verse 8 is “EDEN” in Hebrew. That means when you dwell in God, you are in Paradise.[:]
