[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 43
“Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; rescue me from deceitful and wicked men” (Psalm 43:1)
“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God” (Psalm 43:5)
David was in distressed. He was asking God to rescue him from deceitful and wicked men. It seemed that his enemies were triumphant, so David prayed to God to send His light and truth to guide him and bring him to His holy mountain, the dwelling place of God. There, he will use his harp to praise Him with joy and delight.
When you are depressed, brokenhearted, aggrieved and dejected, take David’s advice: Do not be downcast nor disturbed. Put your hope in God and praise Him.
This deceived world is dark. It needs God’s light to make it bright. We need God’s truth to guide and lead us into his dwelling place. We need His truth to guard us under His care. God’s Word is the truth. We should read His Word and live it in our lives. We should also share the Gospel to save the lost.[:]
