[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 64
“All mankind will fear; they will proclaim the works of God and ponder what he has done. Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him; let all the upright in heart praise him!” (Psalm 64:9-10)
David described what his enemies as follows:
- They have sharp tongue like sword and aim their words like deadly arrows (v. 3)
- They ambush innocent man and shoot him without fear (v. 4)
- They set up evil plans and hide their snares (v. 5)
- They cunningly plant injustice (v. 6)
So, God will shoot them with arrows, struck them down and bring them to ruin (vs. 7-8).
David had finally turned his fear to faith. He proclaim God’s mighty deeds and rejoice in the Lord. He took refuge in him and praise him.
Are you in fear? Ask the Lord for wisdom to deal with your fear. Get your eyes off the circumstances and trust in His promise. Replace fear with faith. Rejoice in the Lord and give glory to God.[:]
