[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 65

“Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts!  We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple” (Psalm 65:4)

“You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas” (Psalm 65:5)

“You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance” (Psalm 65:11)

This a harvest psalm praising God for His goodness and care.  The Psalmist acknowledged that we are overwhelmed with sins but God in His mercy forgives our transgressions and provides atonement.

DESCRIPTION OF GOD’S GRACE:

  1. He hears our prayer (v. 2)
  2. He fills us with the good things in His holy temple (v. 4)
  3. He answers us with awesome deeds of righteousness (v. 5)
  4. He stills the roaring waves of the seas (v. 7)
  5. He cares for the land and water it to enrich it abundantly to provide people with grain (v. 9)
  6. He blesses the crops (v. 10)
  7. He crowns the year with His bounty and His carts overflow with abundance (v. 11)
  8. He let the dessert overflow with grassland (v. 12)
  9. He covers the meadows with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain (v. 13)

THINGS TO PONDER:

  1. Have you experienced God’s grace in your life? 
  2. Do you come to him in prayer? 
  3. Have you purged away your sins? 
  4. Will you draw near to Him and be satisfied with God? 
  5. And do you praise God for His blessings?
