[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALMS 68

“Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds – his name is the Lord – and rejoice before him” (Psalm 68:4)

“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens” (Psalm 68:19)

“Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death” (Psalm 68:20)

“Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the skies.  You are awesome, O God, in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people.  Praise be to God!” (Psalm 68:34-35)

This is a victory psalm of David celebrating God’s power.  God scattered his enemies away like smoke is blown away by the wind and wax being melted before the fire.  The wicked perished before God while the righteous are happy and joyful rejoicing before God.

God is a God to the fatherless, a defender of widows, a redeemer of the prisoners.  He is a healer of the broken hearted.  He went out before His people marching through the waste land while the earth shook and the heavens poured out rains.  He showers us with abundant blessings of inheritance and ascended on high.  He bears our daily burdens and saves us from death.  Ask for strength from God and sing praises to the Lord.  Proclaim His power and majesty.
