[:en]SCRIPTURE:  PSALM 75

“We give thanks to you, O God, we give thanks, for your Name is near; men tell of your wonderful deeds” (Psalm 75:1)

“But it is God who judges:  He brings one down, he exalts another” (Psalm 75:7)

“As for me, I will declare this forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob” (Psalm 75:9)

The Psalmist gave thanks to God and talked of His wonderful deeds.  He knew that it is God who will judge uprightly in His time.  It is God who controls the earth.  No one can boast of anything because God is the one who brings down one and exalts another.  Asaph sang praises to the Lord because God will cut off the horns of all the wicked and lift up the horns of the righteous.

When you are in high position, do not be proud and haughty.  Be humble instead because it is God who exalts people to places of leadership.  God is the judge.  He puts down one and exalts another.  God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5).

Meanwhile, continue to sing praises to God and be a good witness to the world.[:]
