[:en]The events recorded in these chapters fulfilled God’s word of judgment.  He kept his word to judge sin.  Jehu wiped out all of Ahab’s family and the prophets of Baal.  He also destroyed Baal worship in Israel but he caused Israel to worship the golden calve at Bethel and Dan.  Jehu reigned for 28 years and was succeeded by his son Jehoahaz.[:]
