[:en]Amaziah, the son of Joash became king and reigned in Jerusalem for 29 years.  He did right in the eyes of the Lord.  He defeated 10k Edomites in the valley of Salt and captured Sela in battle.  He challenged Jehoash, king of Israel to meet him face to face.  When they met each other, he was captured by Jehoash at Beth Shemesh.  Later, people conspired against him in Jerusalem and he fled to Lachish and was killed there.  Then they took Azariah as king in place of his father Amaziah. Azariah rebuilt Elath and restored it to Judah.[:]
