[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 122
“I rejoice with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord” (Psalm 122:1)”
“For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say ‘Peace be within you,. For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity” (Psalm 122:8-9)
Counsel of David:
- Let us go to the house of the Lord (v. 1)
- Let us praise the name of the Lord (v. 4)
- Let us pray for the peace of Jerusalem (v. 6)
- Let us seek the Lord our God for prosperity (v.9)
Are you happy to go to God’s house to worship Him? Do you lift up your heart to praise Him? Charles Spurgeon said that Christians are prone to write their complaints in marble and their blessings in the sand. We often forget what God has done for us and fail to praise Him.
We need peace to live happily. Jesus promised to give us peace. Therefore, we should pray for peace – in Jerusalem, in our church, in our community, in our family and for our leaders. Let us become vehicles through which God can bring His peace to others. Let your praise and prayer promote peace and prosperity.[:]
