[:en]SCRIPTURE: PSALM 143
“I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done. I spread out my hands to you; m,my soul thirst for you like a parched land” (Psalm 143:5-6)
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul” (Psalm 143:8)
“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground” (Psalm 143:10)
“For your name’s sake, O Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble” (Psalm 143:11)
David was again in a difficult situation. Enemies were pursuing him. So he made these requests through prayers:
- Hear my prayer and listen to my cry (v. 1)
- Do not bring me into judgment (v. 2)
- Answer me quickly, O Lord (v. 7)
- Show me the way I should go (v. 8)
- Rescue me from my enemies (v. 9)
- Teach me to do your will (v. 10)
- Preserve my life (v. 11)
- Destroy all my foe (v. 12)
When you are in a hopeless circumstance, trust in the faithfulness and righteousness of God. Call on the Lord and let God speak to you, show you the way, teach you His will and deliver you from harm.
