[:en]Thoughts from 2 Kings 21[:]

[:en]Manasseh, son of Hezekiah reigned Jerusalem for 59 years.  He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.  He followed the detestable practices of the nations around them.  He rebuilt high places, erected altars, made an Asherah, sacrificed his sons in the fire, practised sorcery and divination and consulted mediums and spiritist.  So the Lord will wipe out Jerusalem and hand them into their enemies.  But at the end of his life, he humbled himself and repented (2Chron. 33:12).  When he rested, his son Amon succeeded him as king.

Amon became king and reigned Jerusalem for 2 years.  He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.  He was assassinated by his own official at his palace.  The people also killed all who had plotted against king Amon and made his son Josiah king.[:]
