“Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us” (Isaiah 8:10)
“The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread, and he will be a sanctuary; but for both houses of Israel he will be a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall” (Isaiah 8:13-14)
“I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the house of Jacob. I will put my trust in him” (Isaiah 8:17)
The alliance of Judah and Assyria seemed to work because they were victorious against Syria and Israel. However, because Judah rejected the quiet waters of Shiloah (referring to a spring in Jerusalem) for the flood water of the Euphrates (referring to Assyria), the Lord used Assyria as his instrument to conquer Judah.
Fear God instead of men. When Jesus is in your life, He will take care of your fear. Make the Word of God as the only authority. If you consult medium and spiritists, you will only see darkness and distress. Let God’s Word be your light in this dark world.
